Summer Plans

With Spring in full bloom we have been making Summer plans for both the stable and individual horses as well. In about two weeks we are going to open a division at Monmouth Park with some horses from both Parx and Westampton and are expecting some of the two year olds to start filtering in toward the end of the month. Atlantic City and the Meadowlands turf courses are going to be open starting April 27th and we have several races picked out at those two locations. Quite a few of the unraced maidens are about ready to go and with Delaware Park and Monmouth opening soon to go along with Parx and Penn National and occasionally Belmont, we should be able to find races for all of them.

Lyle's Angel is back on track, training well for her return to the races shortly. She has put on some weight and looks great.
Slumber Smarty has been entered for Tuesday's Card at Parx. She drew post 6 of 7 in a 7500 nw2 race going 6 furlongs on the dirt. We are the 7-2 third choice with Angel Castillo riding.

Cascades Comet didn't fire this afternoon over a deep, loose track at Parx. We will look for a softer spot over a surface that doesn't resemble a beach for her next start.

Ciampini worked really well this morning, going 49.01 at Parx. This was only his 2nd recorded work and he is starting to turn that baby fat into muscle! Look for him to start in May.

Outta Jail is slowly getting back into a regular training routine after a brief rest. She will be heading to Monmouth soon.

Speedy Trial worked her 2nd five furlong work on Friday, going 103.36 in company with Red Baroness. We are thinking of Atlantic City on the grass for her 1st start.

Red Baroness is ready to run if a race materializes. She will likely be more effective on the grass so Atlantic City or the Meadowlands may be options.

Pleasantly Miranda and Pennypennypenny are galloping and doing some gate schooling. They will start doing more serious work shortly.

Angry Dragon has made a lot of progress lately after some training adjustments and hopefully will be back to the races in May.

Fusaichi Pretty ran well when finishing 2nd at Parx last week. She now qualifies for a starter race on the turf at Atlantic City on May 1st.

All Peace N Quiet disappointed last Saturday and we will try her on the grass at Atlantic City on April 28th. Hopefully she likes the turf as much as her dam did.

Classic Maria is back in training at Westampton.

Extradite is doing well and is scheduled to work next week. He will be headed to either Parx or Monmouth to begin serious starting gate training soon.

One Time Richie is on a similar path to Extradite and will go with him to one of the racetracks so that they can continue to work together.

Goonsquad worked in 49.49 out of the gate on Tuesday. She is still a few works away from being ready to roll.

Hippocrates Jones suffered a cut on his back leg which kept him from running at Penn this past weekend and will be pointed to a starter race at Atlantic City on April 28th going 1 1/8th on the turf.

Latent Charm worked her 1st half on Friday, going 50.50 very easily at Parx. She has been making steady progress and a May debut for her is what we are shooting for.

Small Town Talk breezed in 49.93 last Tuesday and is scheduled to work again this Tuesday, going another half mile. He is not too far away from being ready to run.

Who We Gunna Call worked in 49.57 on Tuesday and is on a similar work pattern as Small Town Talk. They may work in company on Tuesday as they work their way back to the races after minor issues.

Sweetjudyblue Eyes is training well and we are looking at possibly running her in the Foxy JG stakes for PA bred fillies at Parx on April 14th.

Southern Access is getting a brief freshening and will be seen on the turf this summer.

Mustang Island has resumed galloping and should be ready to go back in the entries mid-May.

Midas Terms has returned to full training and is doing well.

Rochelle Rochelle has returned to us and is being pointed to a race at Parx on April 21st.
